“Surround yourself with people who lift you higher.” - Oprah Winfrey
What stops the brightest and best kids from growing up to be themselves? Peer pressure. It starts harmless when children are young, but it is the one crucial thing that can make or break teenagers.
So how can parents help their children handle peer pressure? How can parents give their children the confidence and courage to stand up for themselves, if they must? Parents are welcome to talk about your experiences, perspectives and concerns, share tips on dealing with peer pressure, and learn from other parents too. Let's be parents that lift each other up, so that we can also lift our kids higher!
This session is moderated by Swapna Mirashi, a financial literacy expert and the editor of Parents eZine AIM. This is the fourth session of the bi-monthly Parents Connect meetings.
