Get creative with this hands-on 3D Pen workshop!
Combining the world of art and technology, your child will design and create their very own keychain.
Inspired by the characters from the graphic novel The Makers Club: Starting Up!, this 3-hour-long workshop will introduce your child to the techniques of 3D pen drawing, allowing them to build their problem-solving and psychomotor skills.
Each participant will be able to bring home:
- A keychain artwork
- The Makers Club: Starting Up! full colour graphic novel (Worth $16.90) More details
- One 3D Tinkerpen Set with Power Adapter and USB (Worth $59) More details
- Design templates and instruction manual
- One 5m roll of PCL (Low Temperature filament)
- One 5m roll of PLA (High Temperature filament)
Participants will learn:
- How to embrace fun Do-It-Yourself technologies and what Maker Culture is all about!
- Basic skills for making fun and innovative projects using a 3D Printing Pen, including:
- How to properly handle a 3D Printing Pen
- How to plan and sketch out your own keychain design (templates are provided as well)
- Tips and techniques for creating 3D art
- 3D art ideas to kickstart your journey in solving problems and creating imaginative works with your 3D doodle pen!
This workshop will be conducted in-person.
A minimum of 5 people is needed to start a class.
