The micro: bit LEDs In 2012 BBC introduced a little electronic board called the micro: bit, a low cost microcontroller for kids around the world to learn how to code. With an easy to start coding interface (drag and drop, Javascript, Python), Micro: bit lets kids create robots, musical instruments, and interactive light projects.
Workshop Flow
- 10 min - introduce micro: bit and online code editor
- 5 min - basic controls (triggers, button, animation)
- 15 min - experiment and explore
- 15 min - Project: Tell a Story
- 15 min - Project: Roger Roger
For kids ages 7 and up.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops and chargers. Mac and PC compatible
