Tinker program instills the concept that technology is a creator’s tool to the young curious minds, by offering hands-on experience in programming and hardwares

 

Roblox: Code Your Own 3D Game​

Roblox is one of the most popular sandbox games constructed of Lego-like blocks with more than 65 million active users per month. It is a massively multiplayer online game creation platform for users to design and develop their own games as well as to play games created by other developers.

3D Minecraft Modding: Design Your Own Mods (Beginner)

Through modding, each student develops a completely unique world. They will be able to share their unique worlds with others, creating a fun and educational experience.

Location: Stamford (Jul 1 to Jul 5, Jul 29 to Aug 2)

3D Minecraft Modding: Building Interactive Mods (Intermediate)

In this course, students will be using a software that allows them to create minecraft mods with their own graphical and behavioral designs. Student will learn to create items and code for the behavior of the items, to create series of event with custom commands, and to make a collection of mods that depends on and interact with each others using blocks-based programming.

Robotics: Building Blocks of Creator

This course is designed for young children to learn the fundamentals of robotics and programming. Utilizing the most advanced educational tools developed in the Silicon Valley, including Dash & Dot, Beebot, and Sphero, students will come to understand technology as a tool to solve problems and create useful things.

 ScratchJr: Tinker with Code

The ScratchJr course introduces coding concepts to the young imaginative minds. Sometimes referred to as the post-iPad generation, young children born in this age have gained proficiency and comfort in smartphones and tablets by toddlers age. ScratchJr is an iPad app that teaches blocks-based programming, developed by the MIT Media Lab.

Scratch Holiday Camp: Travel the World (Age 6-8)

The Scratch Holiday Camp is designed to teach young imaginative minds to create interactive stories, games and animation with travel as the theme. Students learn to code with Scratch, a block-based programming tool developed by the MIT Media Lab, to give young students hands-on first try on programming.

Lego Mindstorms EV3: Program Lego to Life (Age 6-8)

This course introduces the fundamentals of robot engineering and computer programing with Lego Mindstorms Ev3. Lego Mindstorms EV3 is a programmable robotics construction series that gives you the power to build and program your own Lego robots.
