"How To Be A Photo Explorer"

“How to be a Photo Explorer” is a casual fun filled workshop for children age 7-12 years old. Children will spend a lovely morning exploring nature and taking pictures around the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden.

Learn how to use the camera, tips and tricks to capture a good photo. At the end of the workshop, children will..

Be exposed to different types of photography like nature, portraits and more!
Use the macro button to take close up and detailed shots of nature
Learn what it takes to be a Gosh photo explorer

*All Materials Included: Compact Digital Camera with a memory card. Let us know if you wish to bring your own cameras.

Fee: $70 (inclusive of a lunch set meal of your choice)

Duration: 3 hours

Workshop Schedule -
10am Welcome + Introduction

Meet & Greet
Introduction to basic photography
Participants will learn about different types of photography
Participants will learn how to use the camera

10:30am Hands on: Explore and take pictures

Participants will explore and take pictures of different types of photography
Participants will be challenged with surprise items (eg: color filters, miniature, toys etc) while they explore and take pictures

11:15am Hands on: Get Crafty!

Participants will receive printed pictures of their photos they took with their cameras

(4 best shots per child)

Participants will get crafty and will DIY their own photo explorer book with the printed pictures and crafty materials

12:15pm Lunch:

Enjoy a delicious meal by Food For Tots.

Includes:
- Your choice of Pasta, Fish & Chips, or Pancakes

- Small juice pack + 1 scoop of ice-cream

12:45pm Review: Show & Tell!

Participants will share their adventure with everyone!
Parents are welcome to join in!
Certificate Presentation Ceremony

1:00pm End of Workshop.
