Ang ku kueh or red tortoise cakes are steamed glutinous rice flour dumplings with a sweet filling.
They are shaped to look like tortoise shells with the Chinese character for longevity “寿” (shòu) imprinted in the centre. Traditionally, Chinese parents give out ang ku kueh to celebrate their baby’s first month as a blessing of longevity and prosperity for their child.
Mummies, rekindle the joy of celebrating your baby’s first milestone and spend quality time with your child by making ang ku kueh with natural ingredients together!
