Our programmes are founded on research-based principles to promote the development of the whole brain, so that the child has, at his disposal, the strengths of both hemispheres of the brain. iGenius believes each child has untapped potential and can learn to harness his brainpower to the fullest with proper training and nurturing in a conducive environment.
BabyGenius (6 - 36 months)
In iGenius, we believe that the key to effective learning is intentional play and learning. While there are ample opportunities for parents today to allow their children to play freely, intentional learning is often lacking. At iGenius, while play is still important, the programmes are also tailored to specially consider the following aspects:
Multiple intelligences: such as verbal, visual, naturalist intrapersonal, rhythmic, logical, interpersonal, kinaesthetic and mathematical intelligences
Holistic development: the programmes are specially tailored to include activities that are aimed to explore the multiple intelligences within a session so that the child will develop more holistically.
Creative and Imaginary Development
While we know that parents are the most influential persons in a child’s life, our programmes are also aimed to empower parents with skills to guide their babies in establishing patterns for learning. The iGenius BabyGenius programmes are all parent-accompanied, with a small class ratio of 1 teacher: 6-8 students (and their parents) per class. The lessons are held weekly at an optimum duration of 50 minutes per session.

Preparing our children for school
Preparing our children for school is a challenging task, let alone for life ahead. As parents, we wish for our children to do well in school and in life, yet not every parent knows how to help our children to achieve that. It is believed that your child will experience a more positive educational school life if they are well prepared for learning.
While we all know the benefits of exposing our children early to academics* prior school, many do not know that providing them with essential learning skills will help them more effectively for school and life success. In conventional teaching methods, which have been proven to be less effective – a child learns through drilling, memorising and regurgitation of facts. However, the tests that they are placed through their school depend very much on the linear, methodical left-brain, which builds memory through repetition and logical links.
