In the crowded space filled with robotics and coding programmes in the market, Inventive Kids has always anchored themselves in providing learning experiences to aged 4 to 12 years old to strengthen their conceptual thinking in interdisciplinary STEM education.
Thus, our purposeful play activities are integrated into hands-on experiential learning, fostering analytical and critical thinking. This approach encourages young learners to creatively solve problems while balancing inventiveness with pragmatism.
WHY INVENTIVE KIDS?
- We go beyond robotics to focus on true education—nurturing a child’s conceptual understanding, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Our approach extends beyond coding in 2-dimensional space. Learners can quickly identify and correct any execution errors by their dynamic robots, refining their coding scripts with elementary math concepts to obtain precise movement.
- We also emphasize applied physics and engineering concepts as young learners conceive, construct, and test their robots to achieve specific objectives—all without relying on building instructions.
- In this process, learners must balance inventiveness and creativity with pragmatism, strengthening their conceptual thinking and sharpening their analytical and critical thinking skills.
- We do not shortlist any learners to attend certain level of our programmes. All learners will go through the same experiential learning and the pace is dictated by the learners themselves.
- Parents receive detailed written feedback after each lesson, covering what their child learned and how they responded to the given missions, along with videos to keep them updated. We provide this for every student, after every lesson.
OUR PROGRAMS
Our play-based STEM (science, technology, engineering & math) programs, designed for children aged 4 to 12, are carefully tailored to be age-appropriate and engaging. We understand that children at different stages of development need the right stimuli to spark their interests, hone their skills, and deepen their knowledge in the world of STEM—all through purposeful play.
- KinderSTEM
4 years old
The KinderSTEM program offers 4-year-old learners hands-on experiences to grasp essential STEM concepts through purposeful play. These activities introduce fundamental principles such as numeracy and patterns, shape characteristics, geometry and orientation, structures, symmetry, balance, and more. Through these hands-on play experiences, learners begin to 'see' and understand the interconnections between principles and concepts, guiding them toward creating effective solutions.
- WeDo Robotics
5 to 7 years old
The WeDo Robotics program introduces learners aged 5 to 7 to the fundamentals of robotics. Through this program, they will learn and apply coding, simple machine concepts, and sensor technology to complete various tasks. In the mission segment, learners are encouraged to think creatively and devise their own solutions. This requires them to analyze the problem and modify their robots independently, without the guidance of standard building instructions.
- Spike Prime Robotics
8 to 12 years old
The Spike Prime Robotics program is designed for children aged 8 to 12. What sets this program apart is its emphasis on creativity and problem- solving—learners are not provided with standard instructions for coding or robot building while tackling missions. Through these challenges, learners will sharpen their analytical and critical thinking, enhance their coding skills, and refine their robot design and building techniques, all while working through engaging, hands-on missions (as demonstrated in the video).
