- Acrobats of the Sky
These striking birds are masters of acrobatic flight, zipping through the skies and making sharp turns to match the movements of their prey.
Northern carmine bee-eaters are social birds that gather in large colonies, creating a mesmerizing display of color as they swoop in unison to chase bees and other flying insects.
- Nature’s Excavators
Native to Africa, Northern carmine bee-eaters are expert sand excavators, creating their nests in cliffside sandbanks. They are especially captivating when perched in rows along tree branches or riverbanks, adding a splash of color to the natural landscape!
They also have a unique hunting habit of striking bees against a branch to remove the stinger and venom before eating it.
