Encountering pests on your plants is part and parcel of gardening. In this talk, let Dr Wilson Wong share with you how to identify common pest problems in the garden. He will also share with you some environment-friendly and sustainable methods that you can use to manage such issues. You can also take this opportunity to ask some questions you have about your gardens and plants! There will also be a segment on community composting, so tune in to find out more!

Children's Storytelling and Crafts, 26 June 2021, 9 am
The Jelutong villagers hated the Jelutong tree and the Gelugur villagers hated the gelugur trees. Each village decides it is better to cut down their trees. Until a chance encounter. Are the trees saved? Come listen to the story of discovery and finding value in what might seem useless.
The storytelling will be followed by a “Jelutong / Rubber tree model” craft.

Notes of Nature takes inspiration from World Environment Day 2021’s theme “Reimagine. Recreate. Restore” to curate a delightful digital offering. Ding Yi Music Company will bring us on a nature-inspired musical journey with tune reflecting the beauty of ecological harmony and biodiversity while visual artist Rizman Putra responds spontaneously to the music to create his signature line and mark making artwork on repurposed wooden platforms in Jurong Lake Gardens.
