June holiday programmes

School’s out but the learning continues! Come join MHC’s upcoming school holiday programmes

Discover the magic of the jackfruit (nangka in Malay) and bring the richness of Malay heritage alive in your classrooms!

Join us for an immersive workshop that explores the natural and cultural significance of the nangka fruit in the Malay world. Immerse yourselves in the diegesis of Dang Anum that features the fruit, and gain storytelling tips from Hafiz Rashid. Learn the art of creating natural dyes from the nangka fruit and its Artocarpus family with the guidance of Wild Dot, and get crafty as you make your own wax-resist painting on paper. Enjoy a culinary exploration of traditional jackfruit-centred delicacies with Dapur Cahaya.

You will also get the opportunity to participate in an exchange of ideas with fellow educators on how you can adapt these interactive activities for your students!
