For the first time in its 175-year history, the acclaimed State Ballet of Georgia will perform in Singapore in September 2025 with a classic production of Swan Lake.
Under the bold artistic direction of Nina Ananiashvili, former prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Ballet and American Ballet Theatre, the company has earned international praise for its “versatile and accomplished” dancers (The New York Times). Based in Tbilisi, Georgia, at the stunning Opera and Ballet State Theatre, the State Ballet of Georgia is renowned for its lavish productions, and this performance promises to be no exception.
With a company of 70, exquisite sets and breathtaking costumes, Swan Lake will be a visual and emotional treat.
Tchaikovsky’s immortal score sets the stage for a magical journey into a world of love, betrayal and redemption. Audiences will be captivated by the tragic love story of Prince Siegfried and the Swan Queen Odette, as they struggle against the dark sorcery of Rothbart.
From the mesmerising corps de ballet in perfect unison as glimmering swans to the vibrant, dramatic ballroom scenes, this enchanting production will leave you spellbound.
