The transition from pre-school education to formal education can be a challenging one as there will not only be changes in the environment but also changes in the way classes are being taught. Most parents are generally worried if their child will be able to settle into his/her new school and will also be curious about the academic requirements of Primary school. The purpose of this parent talk is to provide key tips to ensure that your child makes a smooth transition to Primary 1. A complementary checklist will also be given to parents to have a better assessment on where your child stand before setting foot into his/her new school.
