Travel back in time to a bustling marketplace of the past and experience what life was like back in 1960s-70s Southeast Asia, brought to life by renowned Singaporean artist Yip Yew Chong!

This 3D interactive art installation is inspired by the iconic artworks of Cheong Soo Pieng - one of Singapore’s most influential artists.

There’s loads of fun activities for everyone, young and old! From peeking through kampung windows and drying salted fish to looking for hidden cats, get ready to weave through lively scenes, role-play and explore photo opportunities.

Plus engage in activities such as artist meet-and-greet and live painting sessions, drop-in art activities, and enchanting storytelling sessions.

About artist Yip Yew Chong

A Singaporean artist, he is best known for his heritage murals in neighbourhoods such as Tiong Bahru, Kampong Glam and Chinatown and has painted over 70 street murals since 2015. His murals are relatable and capture the culture and identity of the communities expressed in his art. Come watch him painting in action, chat with him or grab a selfie at Artist Meet & Greets!

A Stroll in the Painting [‘Event’] by National Gallery Singapore is open to all and is held from 2 – 28 July 2024 at the following participating Frasers Property Singapore malls, namely Tampines 1, Northpoint City, The Centrepoint and Waterway Point.
Registration fee or minimum spend is not required to participate in the event.
Event is designed to be wheelchair accessible and suitable for all ages.
Children below 12 years old must at all times be accompanied by their parents during the event.
All participants are responsible for their personal belongings during the event.
The Management of Frasers Property Singapore and their appointed Event Organiser will not be liable and shall not be held responsible for any mishaps, injuries and/or loss of property arising in any way, from a child and/or his/her parents/guardian’s participation in the event.
In the event of any dispute, decisions made by the Management of Frasers Property Retail and their appointed Event Organiser will be final, and no correspondence will be entertained.
Photographs, audio-video or other recordings of you may be taken during this event for use by the Management and/or any third parties authorised by Frasers Property Singapore for the purposes of publicising or marketing the event, including publication or broadcasts in any corporate or marketing materials.
