Our Tampines Hub Celebrates 59th National Day with Community events, NDP Live Broadcast, Concert & Fireworks
Our Tampines Hub (OTH), Singapore’s largest integrated community and lifestyle hub, is hosting the 59th National Day 2024 Celebrations from 8 – 11 August 2024, in conjunction with the Hub’s 7th Anniversary.
Pumping up the excitement will be four days of fun-filled activities, entertainment and freebies for the public such as stage performances, sports try-outs, arts & craft workshops, culinary workshops, fitness workouts, and free movie screenings. Themed ‘UNITED TAMPINES’, the community events taking place during the National Day Celebrations @ OTH include some of these highlights:
- Thursday, 8 August 2024 - Celebrate OTH's 7th Anniversary with live music performances and cultural dances by our local artistes at Festive Plaza! Catch the captivating performances by young kids from The Little Skool-House International at 4pm. Get your family together and have fun at the Family Nerf Party while you race against time in this action-packed game where families of all abilities can join in the fun at the Community Auditorium 2 (12pm – 9pm).
- Friday, 9 August 2024 - On National Day, Tampines Advisers and community partners will be taking part in the National Day Observance Ceremony at the Festive Plaza where they will recite the National Pledge followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Join us for a spectacular National Day Harp Concert with the captivating sound of harp ensembles featuring Singaporean and international guest harpists playing local favourites like Kopi O, Bunga Sayang, and the beloved Singapore Town. The harp concert is at 11.30am at the Festive Arts Theatre. At 4pm, join celebrity hosts Fauzie Laily and Eswari Gunasagar for the ‘United Tampines’ Concert at the Town Square. The concert promises to be a dazzling affair featuring local contemporary orchestras with leading Singaporean vocalists such as the T’ang Quartet with Nick Zavior, Stringanza with singer Joi Chua, Orkestra Trio with Addy Cradle and Iskandar, as well as the Singapore Indian Orchestra and Choir.
In addition, there will be live broadcast of the National Day Parade 2024 with the State Flag Flypast which will begin from 5pm at the Town Square. The evening will end with dazzling fireworks.
- Saturday, 10 August 2024 - Celebrate Singapore's multi-racial heritage through our Culinary Workshops, exploring the diverse flavours of Malay, Peranakan, Chinese and Indian cuisines with expert chefs at Function Room 2 (10am and 2pm). Join us at the live broadcast of the Heartland Celebration@ Punggol at 7pm at the Festive Plaza. About 10,000 Shopee Bags will be given away to the public from 4pm to 10pm.
- Sunday, 11 August 2024 - Grab your family and friends and join us in the OTH 2.3km Challenge at the Jogging Track on Level 5. The event will begin at 9am till 5pm. Don’t forget to catch the live broadcast of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra's annual National Day Concert at the Festive Plaza. Conducted by Leonard Tan, the concert celebrates the 7 works of our musical forefathers and showcases our composers of today.
