Learn to appreciate nature through art!

This workshop is suitable for children aged 9 years old and accompanying adults/parents.

Overall Objectives

Appreciation for nature through art and to introduce the long-lost 7 principles of nature's Leave-No-Trace.
Introduction to watercolour techniques, i.e wet on wet , colour mixing and control of water.
Introduction to elements of art.
Increase observation for natural subjects.
Making a nature sketch book using construction paper & tree branches.
Record observations of nature through sketches.
Discovery of recreation impacts and principles of Leave No Trace in the outdoors.

About the Facilitator

Trainers from Better Trails are very experienced nature guides and nature art instructor. Better Trails is a social enterprise founded to promote responsible outdoor ethics though Environment Education and Outdoor Recreation.

Workshop is conducted in classroom for the start and in the outdoors for the later portion. Lesson sequence will be adjusted according to the weather suitability.
