The last of this year's Picnic Days gatherings gives you more than just an opportunity to pick up a new skill - you'll be supporting SOSD Singapore, a volunteer-run organisation dedicated to the welfare of Singapore's street dogs, too.
SOSD's Education & Outreach Officer will start off the session with a sharing of the work they do, before Marina of My Sweet Scarlett takes you through the basic techniques of watercolour painting. Pick from a selection of portraits of SOSD's dogs, then let loose as you paint your own dog portrait to take home. Along with your masterpiece, you will bring home a watercolour paint palette and a medium brush. If you're an animal lover with a great passion for canine friends, join in this meaningful session for a good cause.
Picnic Days is a series of gatherings at the Plain Vanilla Flagship store at Tiong Bahru. Happening from 29 April to 8 October 2017, watch as the store is transformed into a grassy backyard complete with an indoor swing and hammock, and join as they play host to an array of interactive activities, workshops and retail showcases.
My Sweet Scarlett Paperie is a fine stationery and gift brand based in Singapore, founded in 2014 by Marina Setiawan, a designer, fine-artist and mom of two. Each product features her pretty and rustic hand-illustrated artworks, bringing joy to people.
