Day Camp: For the Love of Creating Drama!

Come join for a unique one-day, interactive hands on camp and dive into creating all the production elements for a scene on the theme of Love!
Through a series of theatre, music and movement games, the young participants will input their ideas for characters & dialogue, and create the designs for hair, make-up, costume, set, props & lighting using recycled materials.
Facilitated by Clare Schapiro and Candy Tan of SG Creations, this camp looks at how creative collaborations can bring about confidence and a love for theatre! This camp is brought to you by Singapore Creations ETC in collaboration with Playeum, where they bring play to the creation of theatre.
Half Day Camp: The Art of Speed

They’re bringing back a spin-off to first hands-on exhibition ‘The Art of Speed’ this June holidays as a half-day camp! Designed for children aged 7 to 12, the half-day camp is centered around STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics). Facilitated by Playeum’s playmakers, children will get to explore the concept of speed and physics through carefully designed activities that encourages them to make their own moving vehicle. Working with recycled materials and electronics such as LED lights, motors, batteries and more, the activities play an emphasis on discovery, experimentation and the importance of process.
Father's Day Workshop: 3-2-1 LAUNCH!

Come celebrate Father's Day through this energy-filled workshop!
Children and their dads will explore objects that fly! Discovering concepts around force, speed and design, they will create a flying object out of newspaper and place it on a handmade rocket launcher for lift off. How far will it go? How high will it fly? This all depends on the shape, weight and built of the flying object - come discover as a family and find out.
Programme for Children & Parents: Pop-Up Adventure Playground

In collaboration with Pop-Up Adventure Play, Chapter Zero Singapore and Playeum, they are excited to bring you a Pop-Up Adventure Playground at Playeum, the Children's Centre for Creativity.
Pop-Up Adventure Playgrounds are public celebrations of child-directed play which are stocked with loose parts (such as tyres, wooden pallets, tubes, cardboard boxes, fabric, tape and string and common materials considered as "junk"). These Pop-Ups gently introduce themes of risk and freedom to children attending them. Come and have fun, as they allow the children to show how competent and creative they can be!
No pre-registration required.

Workshop for Parents: The Amazing Benefits of Child-Directed Play

This 2-hour workshop will be led by Suzanna Law from Pop-Up Adventure Play, a UK-based charity, to aid in the dissemination of the playwork approach around the world. This hands-on workshop talks through the value of play and how we can support children's play using every day materials. We will discuss risk-taking in play and how we, as adults, are the driving force in promoting openness, playfulness and a respect for all. Is it time for us to let go and let children play?
