Beyond sketching, let us appreciate the thinking behind the process of all the intricate details of this Gothic art masterpiece.
What is gothic architecture and what are the key characteristics that make it so visually masterful? In this workshop, students will observe different gothic cathedral styles and the architectural elements that are distinguished by their intricacy. They will sketch using basic to advanced line work and progress gradually to more complex compositions of perspective.
Through guided line experimentation drills, children will practice achieving sketches with architectural perspective — creating a sense of depth, historical character and with a beautiful story within.
Inside Looking Out
- Mon Jun 3rd 9:30am - Mon 24th 2:30pm
- 5 and above
“Warhol was successful in doing the same thing with his use of color by disassociating sensation with his colors, and instead developed different color schemes for his artwork.”
Bring your insights from the inside looking out and create your own product in a can! Students are invited to have a conversation of how they would do things differently building their own product in a can. They will use mixed media art to construct an adaptive infrastructure that is imaginative in what consumers want and relay that to developing their very own product.
This visual art workshop combines a variety of media in one single artwork, allowing students to express their own distinct concepts and thoughts of art through different mediums and techniques.
Inspired by Andy Warhol’s use of colors by disassociating sensation with his colors, children are encouraged to boldly develop their own unique color scheme for this workshop!
