Story Telling with Arts and Craft Session by Roger Jenkins

The session begins (50 minutes) with the art/craft activity during which the children make puppets or masks related to the stories that will be told in the second half of the programme (40 mins). The children work with templates provided by the artist. During the story, the puppets or masks are used by the children to help with the telling of the story.
Be a part of this story telling process and create your very own characters and let them come to life through the stories!

Story Telling by The Artground - My Friend, Sang Kangcil

In this programme, we will use contemporary presentation of the Indian and Malay dance traditions, accompanied by musicians on the keyboard and Malay percussive instruments to engage the young audiences in a lively and interactive manner.
Tales of the Sang Kancil is a compilation of folktales for children in the Malay culture. Sang Kancil is a small and clever creature who uses its wit and intelligence to triumph over creatures more powerful than him in the animal kingdom.
As part of the Fringe activity, the cast and ensemble will teach the children the four different movements/hand gestures (mudras) specific to each art form / animal for the Happy Friendship dance. Tiger who promises to be kind and friendly joins in as well.
Come join us as we learn the traditional dance steps and learn about how friendship can blossom between these unlikely friends!
Opera Performance by SPOT Opera

ARTSperience
Held between Sat, 23 Nov till 14 Dec, join us as we transform SAFRA Toa Payoh into a mini arts haven through art installations, exhibitions, arts & craft sessions and performances. These activities will happen between the Festive Light Up (23 Nov) to Gift for a Reason (14 Dec). Come take part in our weekly activities happening every weekend.
