Camp Activities
- Tent Pitching
For this activity, campers have to work together to pitch a tent for their evening accommodation, thus encouraging teamwork.
- Knots and Lashing
Children will gain basic knowledge and understanding of several knots (e.g. square lashing, diagonal knots, reef knots, prusik knots, clove hitch, fisherman knot) that are useful and practical in their daily life. Children will also learn patience and discipline through the process of knot tying.
- Outdoor Navigation
Children will learn how to read a map and navigate their way through a park, teaching them the importance of way finding.
- Trekking at Yishun Park
This exercise will teach children about nature appreciation. As trekking involves resilience, it also puts the team to the test on how far they can go with the power of teamwork.
- Outdoor Cooking
This activity involves setting up of the mess tin, observing the boiling water and having the courage to put in milo powder or instant noodles to cook. This activity helps to teach children about risk assessment and fire safety, creating an opportunity for them to pick up important life skills.
- Campfire
The campers will come together to sing and dance along to traditional campfire songs. It will be an unforgettable experience for the little ones!
