Highlights
- Projection Mapping show
(approx. every 20 min)
What is real, what is not. Do you truly trust your senses? Or are there more to reality than you can experience? Is the virtual world real, or the real world virtual? This 2 min show will take you through different aspects of virtual and reality.
- Deep Space Theatre
Big screens have been a mainstay of the cinematic experience for so long they are an accepted/expected part of watching movies. But what happens when you extend the screen beyond your field of view, even down beneath your feet? The result is similar to floating in deep space, and the loss of frame of reference from the real world creates a sense of immersion from what is essentially a simple projected image.
- Oculus Rifts
What is real? How do you define ‘real’? If your definition of real is limited to what you can see and hear, then ‘real’ is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain. Or as Einstein said, “Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.”
The custom optics of the Oculus Rift also acts as a portal to the virtual world. Using head-tracking technology, the Oculus Rift provide an immersive, wide field of view that allows you to look around in the virtual environment as if you are in there.
