Learn to Shoot Programme

Learn to Shoot Programme

As part of our effort to promote the sport of shooting to the young, the Singapore Shooting Association (SSA) is collaborating with Singapore Sports School (SSP) to expand SSP Learn-To-Shoot Programme (LTS) to reach a wider audience from 2018 onwards.

All Singaporean primary 5 and 6 students are eligible.

This programme consists of 6 sessions held over 6 weeks (once per week). The students will be introduced to simple and modified shooting techniques suitable for young children. The topics include safety, air gun handling, holding and aiming techniques, triggering and breathing control. The heavily subsidized course fee is $125 per student.

Shooting as a sport will not only instil discipline in the student, it will also help the student to focus better and thus increase his/her attention span – hopefully translating these qualities into better academic performance.

The students in this progamme may also have the opportunity to be offered Direct Schools Admission (DSA) into SSP.

1,000 students have already gone through this programme. If you would like your students to participate in this fun and exciting programme, we would appreciate if you could get back to us. We would then arrange for a suitable time to drop by your school to share the programme with parents and students.
