SwimShark was founded by swimming coach Mathew Oratis in 2020.
Coach Matt started off with a handful of ‘Learn to Swim’ & ‘Stroke Correction & Development’ programs at multiple condos around Singapore, and soon, word got around of his positive teaching standards and program quality and the business grew from strength to strength.
There Is A Swimming Lesson For Every Child!
Through SwimShark, Coach Matt believes in not just teaching your kids to swim, but also building a community. Your children will make new friends from their area, and as parents, you too will meet other parents and neighbours. SwimShark is an organisation that is sincere in building connections and communities.
SwimShark swimming programs help cater for all children’s abilities and ages in the convenience of your own condo.
- Aquatots: Our Aquatots programme are for children aged 6 months to 3 yrs old. It is adult-assisted, where parents or caregivers are involved in the sessions. Our sessions are filled with games, singing & lots of fun, as it promotes happy interactions between parents & babies.
- Learn to Swim (WaterStarters & Level 1): Our Waterstarters programme is designed for young swimmers who are slowly getting comfortable in the water. With engaging & fun activities, we make sure they learn in a group best suited for them. Our level 1 classes focus on children who are confident in the water and the key principle of the sessions is the ability to kick effectively. Children's water skills are developed, such as gliding, free floating, kicking and an introduction to breaststroke & freestyle.
- Stroke Correction & Performance: This class is an introduction to stroke correction & performance. It is tailored for participants who choose swimming as their primary sport, and for those who are committed to continue competitive swimming. It aims to improve your children's speed, endurance, flexibility & strength. To participate in this class your child should be confident swimming over 100m, should be comfortable swimming each stroke for 50m.
