Jurong is a bustling, self-contained satellite town connected to the rest of Singapore by good roads and highways as well as the efficient Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line.
It boasts of a regional National Library, country clubs, a swimming complex with an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a sports stadium, shopping centres, community clubs, Housing Development Board (HDB) facilities and other conveniences.

- Interest groups include calligraphy, ukulele, culinary, balloon sculpting, clay art.
- Events like CNY Hongbao for Senior Citizens, Chinese New Year, National Day celebrations, Deepavali and etc are regular staple, which exposes residents to cultures of other ethnic races in Singapore to celebrate these festivals together.
- Lifestyle courses include zumba, phonics, art classes, languages classes, piano lessons and so forth.
