The Artground has a variety of age-specific drop-in programmes on the weekends that participants will get to enjoy!

 

This weekend, they have an array of regular age-specific drop-in programmes as well as ticketed programmes.

Ticketed Programmes

The Artground occasionally plays host to ticketed performances and workshops. Patrons are required to purchase tickets online if you’d like to attend.

TAG Drop-in Programmes

Every weekend, The Artground organises a variety of age-specific drop-in programmes that participants will get to enjoy on a first come, first served basis, inside Whitebox. Each programme will be charged at $10 per parent-child pair. You can purchase a single ticket, TAG cards for 5 or 10 + 1 sessions at $50 and $100 respectively at the reception. There is no registration for these activities as they are first come, first served. An announcement will be made 5 mins before each programme and the first XX number of children in the queue will get to enjoy the programme (XX refers to the age-specified & capacity of the programme, ie Little Green Thumbs is for the first 20 children from 2 – 4 years old).

7th September, Friday (School Holidays)

  • 10.00am - Annie Ting and The Dragon by TINY FEAT [Ticketed Performance, 40 mins, 2 - 4 years old]: Annie Ting is a little girl who looks different from the people around her. She goes on a big adventure and discovers that kindness, empathy and love can be found in the most unexpected of places. This interactive puppet theatre performance has been created for children aged between two and four years of age. The show runs approximately 40 minutes and features a live musician and two puppeteers. Book tickets here.
  • 11.30am - Annie Ting and The Dragon by TINY FEAT [Ticketed Performance, 2 - 4 years old]: Annie Ting is a little girl who looks different from the people around her. She goes on a big adventure and discovers that kindness, empathy and love can be found in the most unexpected of places. This interactive puppet theatre performance has been created for children aged between two and four years of age.   • 2.30pm - 3pm: Music Jamboree with Little Creatures (All Ages): Join Little Creatures as they bring you songs old and new, young and old in a music jamboree session where you can groove along, sing along, jam along and play along their live music!
  • 3.30pm - 4pm: Bollywood Jingles (4 - 8 years): Come join in with your favourite person to move your body to bollywood grooves in this fun and energetic session!
  • 430pm - 5.15pm: Hats Off To You! (3 years and up): Express your creativity and create your very own bucket hat using fabric scraps.

8th September, Saturday

  • 2.30pm to 3pm: Cardboard City with Stan (Strictly Pre-walking babies): An exploration for pre-walking babies to inhabit and extend their spatial awareness amongst the everyday materials in this City designed just for them.
  • 3.30pm to 4pm: Slinky Sticky Toys Workshop - In, Out Under and Over by The Kueh Tutus (4 - 10 years): Working with rubber bands they make and break connections by moving together.
  • 430pm - 5.15pm: Shapes Splash with The Good Giftery (4 years and up): Come join shape friends as they  transform into mountains, fountains and bridges. Then, create your own shape picture bag with upcycled textiles.

9th September, Sunday

  • 10.30am - 11am: A Little Here, A Little There by The Kueh Tutus (Crawlers, 5 - 12 months): Let your baby make his/her mark on this performance. Dancers trace the babies’ trajectories; drawing inspiration from their movements to form mini duets.
  • 11.30am - 12pm: Terrific Tales by The Storytelling Centre Limited - Chinese Folktales (3 - 7 years): The perfect introduction to the art of storytelling especially for little listeners, followed by a simple craft activity. This month, we’ll be telling Chinese Folktales.
  • 2.30pm - 3pm: Wriggle and Giggle (4 years and up): A fun, movement experience through dance. Get the kids up on their feet as they learn simple dance moves to a different song each session.
  • 3.30pm - 4pm: Thumpety Thump with Bounch and The Band (5 years and up): A fun and energetic percussive experience where kids get to try hand held instruments and jam with the band.
  • 4.30pm to 5pm: Rainbow City by art@homesg (3 years and up, parent accompanied): Build a rainbow skyscraper using simple materials and build a rainbow city with your friends.
