A coding class where your child will learn the basic concepts of coding on an iPad through fun and interactive platforms such as Hopscotch.
Students will learn how to code their very own creations, from animations to games. Your child will be taken through a step by step process to learn how to code and eventually add more functions for more complex projects.
Levels:
- Basic – your child will learn about the fundamentals of coding and start simple projects such as Jungle Animations and games, like Crossy Road or Tilt!
- Intermediate – your child will start to design and code more complex games that involve multiple conditioning or different lines of code, and a range of elements beyond animation, strengthening mathematical thinking and animation skills.
Students can progress from one level to another, or commence at intermediate if they have prior knowledge.
Key learning outcomes:
- Develop and understanding of computational and mathematical thinking.
- Improve logical, systematic and creative thinking.
- Develop fluency in simple coding creation.
