The Tinker Yard is a studio for loose parts & messy play and creative reuse of materials for art and education.

At The Tinker Yard, children are encouraged to wonder, question, predict, investigate and experiment. Play at the studio is child-led.

They value and respect children's ideas. The curriculum is framed around those big ideas.

Studio Environment

The studio is richly resourced with a diverse range of open-ended materials known as loose parts. The environment is intentionally designed and ready to offer children beautiful, open-ended materials and experiences full of possibility.

The team of The Tinker Yard works hard to regularly update the learning space at The Tinker Yard to accommodate new ideas that children have.

Programmes for Children

The team of reflective early years practitioners has developed programmes that are responsive and geared towards helping children discover, embrace & build upon their natural strengths.

The studio is also available for field trips, corporate team-building events, private playdates, parties and professional development workshops for early childhood educators.
