Storytime with Tickle Your Senses combines Sensory Play with well-loved children’s picture books!
Your children will get to see it, hear it and feel it. Stories and words come alive in all this carefully designed multi-sensory workshops!
In this 10th workshop, Tickle Your Senses will read “The Bear and the Piano”, the first book ever by author-illustrator, David Litchfield. This book is the Winner of Waterstones Children’s Book Prize: Best Illustrated Book 2016.
This is a moving tale about a young bear cub who stumbles upon something he has never seen before in his forest. As time passes, he teaches himself how to play the strange instrument and masters it beautifully. The bear goes on an incredible journey to New York, where his piano playing skills makes him a star. He has fame, fortune but he misses the friends and family he has left behind.
If you have a budding pianist or musician at home, join as your child will be engaged in this tale of perseverance and in learning about all things musical while engaging his/her senses through playdough exploration.
From this year onwards, there's also included a parents' lecture for you, so if you come back 5 mins before the session ends, you will be given the details on what you can do at home to provoke your child’s thinking and learning beyond our session.
