Brick-Tacular Holidays: The Test Patrol Family Visits LEGOLAND Malaysia

LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort is a go-to place for all children aged 0-80! Here, you can find a LEGOLAND Water Park with 20 unique slides, waves, wade pools, an interactive water-play structure, and a Build-A-Raft River. Another thrilling location is LEGOLAND Theme Park with its miniatures of world-renowned landmarks recreated in LEGO bricks and catching LEGO workshops. And the newest addition to LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort, SEA LIFE promises lots of enjoyment with a breathtaking spectacle with sea creatures, interactive displays, and hands-on encounters.

And this school holiday and the Christmas season have prepared a series of brand-new adventures for the visitors of LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort!

Naturally, we couldn't pass up an event like this! We asked one of the Test Patrol families to check out the wonders of Legoland and describe their impressions of what they had seen.

Lynnice Ng together with her daughters Shirlene (11), Estelle (8), and Kelene (6) checked out how the Hotel, Theme Park, Water Park, and SEA LIFE transformed into a Toy Factory during Brick-Tacular Holidays at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort.

“Upon entering Legoland Malaysia Theme Park, you would be welcomed by their “Brick- Tacular Holidays” Christmas facade with several Christmas-related activities happening around the main entrance area,” says Lynnice. “I took part in the “writing a letter to Santa ” activity. At the booth, the staff will hand you a piece of paper and you can write anything you want to Santa, then drop it inside a box. The staff and Legoland Mascots were decked in festive colors and Santa hats. It makes one feel that we are going to have a great time at the Theme Park!”

The holiday vibes are in the air there! Elves and elves scurry about in the Theme Park and Christmas Dances and Magic Shows take place from Thursday to Sunday.

“The atmosphere at the resort was certainly joyous as everyone was in a Christmas holiday mood. My children stood in awe of the gigantic Christmas tree, amazed by how it was all made up of small Lego bricks, including the decorations and the star on top of it. Guess what, In front of the Christmas tree was Santa and his sleigh with two reindeer, all made of Lego bricks as well.” Mrs. NG says.

Editor's Note: The Theme Park has the tallest LEGO® brick Christmas tree in Southeast Asia (up to 9 meters)!

The LEGOLAND Hotel has also prepared various exciting activities including Bedtime Story: Surprise Party for Santa Claus, Little Chef Donut Decoration, Christmas shows, and balloon sculptures.

“The buffet dinner we had at the Bricks Family Restaurant at Legoland Hotel was superb with a good variety of main dishes and spoilt choice for desserts”. states Mrs. Ng. “The dinner table was covered with Lego drawings and children were given crayons to do coloring on the table mat. This adds joy and ‘color’ to the already sumptuous dinner.”

In addition, it wouldn't be a LEGO theme park if there wasn't an opportunity to create something special with LEGO bricks!

“For this visit, it was the first time our family got the opportunity to enter “Planet Legoland” as the last time we came by, there were no available time slots. This is essentially a place where you would be provided with Lego bricks and you could build anything you want. How cool is that! We took this chance to bond together as a family with Lego and collaborate to build a mini roller coaster completed with Lego cars. We also went into Lego Mindstorms and there was an area where you would be given an instruction manual to build certain items. To be honest, when I was handed over a basket of tiny Lego bricks, I was not expecting myself or even my children to make anything out of them other than stacking them up. Unexpectedly, the graphic instructions were easy to follow, my six-year-old has no problem at all building a Lego apple and watermelon on her own. The Lego pineapple was a tad complicated and needed help from the Daddy. Overall, I would say, these activities were awesome in addition to the rides and this is a clear differentiator from other theme parks, as adults and children can apply their creativity doing hands-on building with Lego bricks.”

On top of all the shows and activities, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort will also be giving away prizes and gifts as a part of the daily Advent Calendar Draw and Christmas festivities.
