About The Art of Indian Percussion
Dhruv Khurana
Inspired by the rhythm and liveliness of tabla, as well as performances by leading artists, such as Ustad Zakir Hussain, Dhruv started learning tabla at the age of seven under the tutelage of Guru Mihir Kunduji and is currently in his fourth year of study with the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society. Dhruv's love for music continues beyond tabla. He is a grade four piano student and also knows the basics of playing ukulele, cornet, recorder, learning from his teachers at Tanglin Trust School. When Dhruv is not playing music, you will find him playing golf or coding.
Siddhant Ananthanarayanan
10-year-old Siddhant is a child prodigy who was initiated into the art of learning the mridangam at a very tender age of two. He has been taught under Shri R. Subramaniam in Singapore and Shri A.V Manikanttan in Chennai from 2018. Siddhant is currently under the tutelage of the maestro Guru Shri Karaikudi Mani himself. Siddhant also learns the tabla under the watchful tutelage of Shri Nawaz Mirajkar at The Temple of fine Arts, Singapore from 2018.
Siddhant also learns vocal music from his mother Smt. Vaishnavi Anand and has given a few short vocal concerts too.
Siddhant has won prizes and accolades at many competitions and also has quite some performances to his credit. Siddhant is currently a primary four student at Opera Estate Primary School.
