A collaboration with the Speak Good English Movement, sing-along with author Chen Wei Teng as she tells her story Murphy, See How You Shine!
Murphy has always been different. He always feels like he does not belong. Yet he is a very special assistance dog. Will Murphy ever recognise that he can make the world a brighter place, in his own unique way?
Murphy, See How You Shine! is a story that addresses themes of inclusion, self-acceptance, kindness and friendship—it is a story that celebrate the diversities in all of us.
About Chen Wei Teng
Chen Wei Teng is an educator based in Singapore. Formerly an educational therapist with the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS), she is currently teaching at NorthLight School. Chen works with teenagers with learning difficulties such as dyslexia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), who often come from challenging or disadvantaged family backgrounds.
When not traversing the corners of the earth to embrace new experiences, she can be found at home strumming her ukulele or taking nature walks. She hopes the inspirations she draws from around her will help her be a better teacher and writer.
