Join the Victoria Chinese Orchestra as they explore the different aspects of culture that influence music, bringing you through different Chinese musical genres, from distinct flavours of the Northern Chinese Yangtze River to the provincial dialect of Beijing opera, and along the Silk Road with a splash of unique Arabian music.
You will also get to find out more about Chinese instruments and their characteristics in an ensemble, while getting to hear lesser-known instruments up-close, such as the jinghu and ruan.
