FabCafe x Tatjana Dzambazova: Digitizing the World Around Us (with Autodesk ReMake)
Today, ubiquitous sensors make it possible to digitize the real world around us. To do what, you ask?
You can digitize objects from the past for archiving purposes, digitize historic collections to enable universal access, monitor and protect natural landscapes or species and make education more fun! You can also digitize physical art for commercial purposes, digitize ourselves for fun or medical purposes, make realistic assets for games, film and exciting new interactive experiences that can augment the value of the captured reality.
How is that relevant to designers, the makers of the future?
Join for this workshop and learn to use captured reality to start new designs and create 3d models in novel ways. You'll learn how to create 3D models from 2D captured photographs or real-life objects or subjects using Autodesk ReMake – a technology that developed by the Autodesk R&D team in Singapore and is now being used by millions of people from all walks of life around the world!
Participants need not have any prior 3D modelling experience
Please bring:
- Smart phone or compact digital camera
- USB data cable to transfer your photos to your laptop
- Windows-based laptop with Autodesk ReMake installed (free trial available here)
- An object you will like to digitise
All workshop fees will go towards FabCafe for organising and hosting. Participants can enjoy 10% off pastries, food and drinks at FabCafe.
