Join us for this virtual workshop series about spices!
The Spice Garden at Fort Canning Park is the same place where Raffles and Farquhar experimented with a spice plantation in 1819. In this talk, learn about the wide variety of spices found in the garden today, where they're from, and what they're used for. You'll also learn a few simple recipes to spice up your usual fruit juice for a refreshing, flavourful drink.
This workshop will be held via Zoom. There will be a short activity at the end using the ingredients below - do prepare them if you would like to follow along during the workshop!
They are:
- Lime
- Ginger (sliced)
- Sugar
- Water
- A blender
