Orchids of Angkor Wat
Inspired by the timeless temple of Angkor Wat, discover native orchids to Cambodia and the ancient Khmer Empire which revered orchids as symbols of nobility and hallmarks of religious beliefs.
In an inaugural collaboration with the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Singapore, Orchids of Angkor Wat in Cloud Forest puts the spotlight on the beauty of Cambodian orchids and showcases why they captured the imagination of the country through time, as well as intrigued the outside world. Orchids were revered by the ancient Khmer Empire as symbols of nobility and hallmarks of religious beliefs, and even feature in carvings at Angkor Wat. The floral display features a stunning collection of orchid species native to Cambodia as well as their hybrids, set against the dramatic backdrop of Angkor Wat. Amidst the landscape are local wildlife such as the Asian elephant and the Kouprey, or forest ox.
