This is a unique course that will teach robotics and engineering using Lego education sets and programming skills using Scratch.

 

The progression and difficulty level in the projects allow students to develop competency while exploring and learning about key science topics. Combined with Scratch programming capabilities, this is a unique course that teaches robotics and engineering along with advanced coding.

We follow the eight science and engineering practices:

  • Ask questions and solve problems.
  • Use models.
  • Design prototypes.
  • Investigate.
  • Analyze and interpret data.
  • Use computational thinking.
  • Engage in argument from evidence.
  • Obtain, evaluate, and communicate information.

Skills learnt: Computational skills, Design & Innovation, Science concepts, Creative skills, Presentation & communication skills

Materials $ Software used: Lego Wedo 2.0 , Lego Simple machines, Lego power kit, Lego software, Scratch 3.0.
