In this quarterly exhibition, MINT Museum of Toys features robot toys that have been protagonists of well-known sci-fi movies and TV series over the past decades!
MINT Museum of Toys is featuring five famous robot toys from classic sci-fi movies such as Robby the Robot from Forbidden Planet, R2-D2 and C3PO from Star Wars, the Daleks from Doctor Who and Astroboy from the popular Japanese manga and anime series. Explore the five characters, their influences and the toys created after them.
Look at the selected characters from a different perspective exploring their influence on popular culture and impact on merchandising, such as the production of posters, toys and collectables. You will learn about the different materials, mechanisms and versions of toys that were inspired by these movies.
