Originally a cartoon character, Bonzo was the inspiration behind these high manufacture merchandise from toys – it is both cuddly and mechanical to ashtrays, pin-trays, trinket boxes, car mascots, jigsaw puzzles, books, calendars, sweets, and a profusion of postcards. They take a glimpse back into Bonzo’s history with vast collection you will get to see during the tour.
Do you know featured Bonzo toy was in production for 7 years, from 1922-1929, that’s the popularity of Bonzo. Everybody wants a piece of him you bet!
The maker of Bonzo toys actually had all toys sewn on a label that states that it is a hygenic toy. Isn’t it as good as a stamp of green light for the absolute cleanliness of the toy when manufactured? This label is something that is rare, if not never seen on toys made these days!
Alongside Bonzo, this tour will also introduce you to Playful Pluto and Snoopy Astronaut. Sharing with you how these lovable dog characters from cartoons or comics played an important part in the toys produced after them!
Pawsperity Bow-wow Workshop
In this workshop, participants will get to pick up and learn a handy skillset. Imagine that you are able to repurpose almost anything made from fabric with these basic techniques, most patterns only require a few basic stitches which the workshop will touch on.
Who doesn’t love a toy that you can use as well as play with? Transform your hand-sewn puppet into an adorable animal pouch easily! Plus, what are some of the basic hand-sewing techniques you can easily learn and apply, from a back stitch to an overcast stitch and even running stitch. A light-hearted and adorable toy making session awaits!
