PMI is a premium bilingual international preschool for children between 18 months to 6 years.

At PMI, learning is experential, meaningful and applicable in real life.

Childhood comes around but once. The early years are crucial years for children’s holistic development. They believe that it is important to nurture all forms of intelligences to lay the foundation for fulfilling children’s potential.

They also believe that it is not enough to be just intelligent in many areas but that children should grow up with good and strong values like love, kindness, respect, commitment, honesty and courage, to guide them in their life. They believe people in children’s lives make a difference in the quality of their lives.

This is why they select well qualified teachers who are warm, loving and experienced and why they work closely with parents in the care, development and education of their children.

Your children will learn about themselves and things that matter to them - their family, friends, other cultures and the environment - both social and natural. They will learn to play and work well with others, to negotiate, solve problems, respect themselves and others and show courtesy, kindness, compassion and helpfulness. They will learn self-help and independence skills - as appropriate for their age.

Learning is a natural process where all 8 intelligences are used to learn anything. All 8 intelligences are also nurtured separately. By the time your children leave PMI for primary school, they will be bilingual in English and Mandarin. They will learn how to speak well and read well because they want to communicate and because they want to know more - which is the natural disposition of children. K2 children will also undergo a school readiness programme.

Your children will be more creative, more daring to try new things, more curious about the world round them. They will learn the foundation of mathematics, science, and language - as they are applied in their every day life. Knowledge is not just role learning of facts and abstracts. What is fundamentally important is the application of all these in order for children to find meaning in their world.

Your children will develop their physical abilities. They will be more artistic, more musical, more imaginative, more articulate, more sensitive to nature than when they first join PMI - especially children who are in their full day programme.

PMI children learn through a wonderful myriad of ways - multi-faceted, multi-coloured. Children learn (and play) through creative art, drama, phonics, imaginative play, role-play, construction, puzzles for one or a group, working with sand, water and dough, problem-solving games, music, field trips, projects from baking to making paper, volcanoes, three dimension plan of the neighbourhood and writing/illustrating personal books to set up a library system.

The possibilities are limitless.

Children learn on their own, with a partner, a small group of 3 or 4 or more. Children also work/play across age groups for a different social experience - to learn from the older and to care for the younger (sometimes the other way around!)
