As parents, our personalities affect our behaviour and how we parent our children. Each child has their own individual personality too.
Sometimes, the parent’s and child’s personality might clash or they might complement each other.
This workshop will help you to discover your personality (and in turn, parenting style) and also recognize your child’s personality.
You will learn how to make these personalities work for you, and strengthen your relationship with your child.
Venue: SAFRA Mount Faber, Diamond Room Level 2
- Registration is free and registration closes on 16 Mar.

Profile of Speaker: Mr Steven Tan
Steven is trained as a Counsellor and a Family Life Educator. He holds a Master of Social Science in Counselling from University of South Australia, and a Graduate Certificate in Parent Education Leadership Training (PELT) from Swinburne University, Australia. He is also fully ACTA (Advanced Certificate in Training Assessment) certified. Steven conducts training in the Community and Social Services Sector and has been a part-time lecturer for the Diploma in Counselling Skills for Edith Cowan University. He has also supervised School Counsellors in MOE schools. He is a SAC Clinical Member and Registered Counsellor. He is trained as a Triple P (Positive Parenting Programme) practitioner and Certified Behavioural Consultant.
Steven has conducted family life talks for many years and is a frequent speaker in schools and companies. He especially enjoys running parent-child camps and excels in many areas of sports. He is a fun-loving family man who loves organising both indoor and outdoor activities.
Steven is happily married and has two children in tertiary studies. As a father, he can relate to the many issues parents face.
