From the vibrant world of Getai performances to the challenges of the education system, nostalgic glimpses of Singapore's past, and the pursuit of dreams in a fast-paced city, these films explore the struggles, aspirations, and shared experiences that define life in Singapore. Don't miss this cinematic journey through tradition, family, and the complexities of modern society.

Disappointed by his failed dreams, Loh Poh Huat visits his frustrations on his family. So when he wins the lottery, everyone believes the money will deliver them from their struggles. However, Loh dies abruptly and his elaborate and surreal Taoist funeral pitches the family into a battle where the stakes are the very meaning of life itself.

Big Papaya and Little Papaya idolize Chen Jin Lang, the King of Hokkien Getai, and dream of becoming Getai singers themselves. After overcoming many challenges and hurdles, through their perseverance, hard work, and fabulous costumes, The Papayas become the most famous sister act in town. Unknown to them, the rival group Durian sisters has become intensely jealous of The Papayas' success and is determined to sabotage them by messing up their schedule. At a confrontation, The Durians challenge The Papayas to a showdown which they accepted. The Papayas started preparing for the big day with new costumes, songs, and dance; however, Little Papaya eventually collapses from the strain and dies. What will happen to Big Papaya after her partner Little Papaya is gone? This musical movie is a colourful display of the Getai culture which is unique to Singapore, where the characters are just as flamboyant as the costumes they don for their often over the top and opulent performances.

“I Not Stupid” is a satirical comedy which will make you laugh and cry. It portrays the struggles of three young children and their families in pursuit of academic excellence in a highly competitive society. The parents are equally challenged in the rat race, taking their own “exam” to survive in the modern society.

Ah Min visits her grandmother’s photo studio one day before it shuts for good. There, she discovers four old photographs. Intrigued by the people in the photos, Ah Min embarks on a journey to find out who they are. Her first stop, an old friend of her grandmother’s, Ah Meng, who reveals through four unforgettable stories that the people in the photos all worked and played at the legendary Great World Amusement Park once upon a time.
