The year 2025 marks the 150th anniversary of the Library at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, one of Southeast Asia’s oldest and most significant botanical libraries.
This special exhibition features rare books and historical records that date as far back as 1531. These collections support the Gardens’ long-standing work in plant research, conservation, education, and public outreach.
Through carefully curated displays in the Botanical Art Gallery, discover the evolution of botanical art and documentation, and learn how these invaluable materials contributed to the Singapore Botanic Gardens becoming the first and only tropical botanic garden on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
