The Singapore Botanic Gardens has come a long way since it was established in 1859.
From its beginnings as a pleasure garden for the colonial community, the Gardens gradually adopted a more scientific focus and horticultural role in the greening of Singapore, to become the premier tropical botanic gardens it is today.
This exhibition highlights the key milestones in the Gardens' 160 year history, and showcases features of the upcoming Gallop extension which brings the Gardens to its largest ever at 82 hectares.
