Willow Nursery

Willow Nursery

Willow Nursery is a play-based English speaking programme run by expatriate teachers

Willow Nursery works hard to make sure that their school is a loving extension of your home. Parents can leave their children with confidence knowing they are in a happy, loving and safe environment.

They aim to provide an affordable alternative in early childhood education for expatriate children. Their focus is on the individual learner. Using a play-based approach, students become independent thinkers. They believe that a child’s education is built on a partnership between students, parents and teachers. They value mutual respect and these partnerships reflect that.

Outdoor play is an integral part of the children’s day. They have an enclosed play area which is completely fenced in and there is safety surfacing in place. There is a separate room for indoor physical play activities. They aim to go outside at least once everyday and only extreme weather will keep them indoors.

  • WOBBLER GROUP (Ages 18 months to 2 years old) - The Wobbler’s group is the introduction to their nursery programme where children as young as 18 months can have their first classroom experience in a safe, secure and happy environment.
  • TODDLERS GROUP (Ages 2 years to 3 years old) - From Wobblers, children progress to the Toddlers group.  The classes are larger with up to 8 children allowing more social interaction and opportunities for sharing and play-based learning. They offer a wide range of activities, paint, malleable materials, fine motor and gross motor activities, indoor and outdoor play, stories, music and role play.
  • PRESCHOOL GROUP (Ages 3 to 6 years old) - Their preschool builds upon the experiences gained in the Toddler Group. They offer a wide range of activities, paint, malleable materials, fine motor and gross motor activities, indoor and outdoor play, stories, music and role play. Children are encouraged to take responsibility for themselves, have respect for others, and their environment. There are some structured group times but also plenty of opportunity for free play.
  • MUSIC & CRAFTS - At Willow Nursery they aim to provide interesting and exciting music for all children. Children have access to a wide range of instruments and listen to a variety of different types of music.
  • OBSERVATION & FOCUS CHILD - At Willow Nursery they extend the work of good parenting. In their classes they watch children to get to know them as individuals, to protect them, to observe their progress, to detect any problems and to ensure they provide for their needs in all areas of their development. Each week at Willow Nursery they select focus children in the Preschool. They provide a short report at the end of the week via email. Once every month child will be a focus child. This is in addition to the general weekly update sent to all parents.
