Yishun Public Library


Yishun Public Library was officially opened at Yishun Street 22 above the Sembawang Town Council on 26 February 1998 by Associate Professor Ho Peng Kee, Minister of State for Law and Home Affairs and Member of Parliament for Sembawang GRC.

 

It was re-located to Level 4, Northpoint Shopping Centre, and was re-opened on 14 November 2008 by Mr Khaw Boon Wan, Minister for Health and Member of Parliament for Sembawang GRC.

The Yishun Public Library serves the general information and recreational needs of the community with a start-up collection of approximately 150,000 volumes comprising magazine titles, fiction titles as well as non-fiction titles on cookery,  family and parenting, health, travel, arts, business, computers and IT, etc.

Covering an area of 2,000 square metres, the library serves residents in Canberra, Chong Pang, Nee Soon Central, Nee Soon East and Nee Soon South.
