Join us this Children's Day for a series of online Drama Workshops by your favourite Drama Teacher.

 

Swimmy with Teacher Loretta

  • For ages 3 to 4
  • 45 minutes, one-off online session

A brave black fish explores the great sea in search of a new community. He learns about the beauty of the world and finds a group of red fish. Faced with trouble, he uses his experience and knowledge to protect himself and his new community.

With a dramatic interpretation of this beloved story, the children will learn that through working together and taking risks you can overcome any danger!

Loretta is an experienced drama teacher whose capabilities lie in the connection and engagement of young children. She enjoys nurturing and nourishing creativity through her enjoyable and interactive storytelling styles.

Stardust with Teacher Nicole

  • For ages 3 to 4
  • 45 minutes, one-off online session

In this workshop, the children will explore the story of a little girl overshadowed by her ‘perfect’ elder sister. However, to her grandfather, this little girl is a star. As they gaze at the night sky, he tells her a story of the beginning of the world which inspires the little girl to embrace her uniqueness.

Featuring exciting props and songs, the children will learn the importance of finding the power within themselves.

Nicole has been working in the education field for more than six years. With a fresh perspective on the pedagogies of teaching, Nicole makes certain that her lessons are fun and energetic. She also strives to always encourage the creativity and inquisitive nature in her students.

The Lion and The Mouse with Teacher Ana

  • For ages 4 to 7
  • 60 minutes, one-off online session

In this Aesop classic story, a lion threatens a mouse that wakes him from his sleep. The mouse begs for forgiveness and convinces the lion that such small prey would bring the lion no honour. Will the king of the jungle agree and set the mouse free?

Featuring an exciting presentation of the story, the children will learn that one good deed leads to another, and that greatness comes in all sizes!

Ana is an experienced theatre practitioner particularly in theatre education. She is a drama teacher, curriculum designer, director and a storyteller. She loves teaching performing arts and believes in the power of drama.

The Stone Soup with Teacher Juriah

  • For ages 5 to 7
  • 60 minutes, one-off online session

One day, three tired and hungry monks came upon a small famine-ridden and war-torn village in the mountains. When they asked for food to fill their hungry bellies, the villagers locked their doors and turned them away. Can the monks get the villagers to care enough to help?

This workshop teaches children the value of teamwork and collaboration to create amazing things!

After more than 20 years of educational practice in Speech and Drama, Juriah is one competent individual! However, it’s not all work and no play with her. She is a candid character with tons of expertise in transporting her students into a world of dreams and realisation that Drama is a powerful tool.

Rainbow Fish with Teacher Alvin

  • For ages 5 to 7
  • 60 minutes, one-off online session

Dive in to explore the story of the most beautiful fish in the entire ocean – the Rainbow Fish! But why is he lonely? Join us to find out and meet many sea creatures along the way.

This story will teach children the many ways to be a good friend. Through role play and dramatisation, they will discover the joy in kindness and in sharing.

Alvin has been working in the area of Speech and Drama for more than 10 years. His experiences have taught him that everyone matters. He strives to be an agent of change to impact young lives by showing them that they matter and how they can be capable of realising their potential.

Improvaganza with Teacher Raiya

  • For ages 8 to 12
  • 60 minutes, one-off online session

Through the use of skits, monologues, props and creativity, the children will explore the exciting world of improvisational theatre. With specially curated games and activities, our engaging drama teacher will build the children’s fundamental skills of improvisation – acceptance, spontaneity and storytelling. Improvaganza will teach children important social skills and give them the confidence to make a difference in their own lives at home and at school.

Raiya is a gentle yet bubbly teacher with a great passion for Drama. Not only does she educate and encourage children to explore and be creative, she is also a great storyteller performing in a range of productions and shows.
