Join in a world of buckets, castle building, spinning and tumbling in this delightful show for under 3s which explores sand in new and exciting ways. With no words, and accompanied by an evocative soundtrack of world music, Circles in the Sand is an intimate, imaginative and captivating play, providing the perfect introduction to theatre for the very young.
At the end of the performance, children are invited onto the stage to delight in the feel of the sand as it trickles between toes and fingers and in interactive play session.
Circles in the Sand is created by award-winning theatre director Sarah Argent and performed by the enchanting actor Marleen Vermeulen.
Who is Tam Tam Theatre?
Tam Tam Theatre was established in 1993 by Marleen Vermeulen, who is originally from Belgium.
The company is known for work with a multi-cultural focus drawing upon original stories from across the world using puppetry and simple storytelling.
Recently, Tam Tam started to focus upon creating non-verbal work for very young children including babies. Circles in the Sand is the first in a series of plays Marleen has developed.
