While his father is away on a long business trip, Jacob is sent to stay with his bossy cousin Mimmi and her ex-seaman father Eagle for a week in Maskachka, a historical suburb of Riga (Latvia).
Jacob is immediately enchanted by Maskachka's unqiue aura, with its wooden houses and interesting characters. However, when the cousins discover that a greedy businessman plans to transform Mimmi's favorite local park into skyscrapers, they know they must save the neighborhood. To stop the development, they must team up with some unexpected friends — a pack of local dogs that... can talk!
