How Children Can Be Creative Critical Thinkers

How Children Can Be Creative Critical Thinkers

In this talk, the speaker will create awareness in parents and teachers on why creative thinking is essential to prepare children for a more digital future, and how to spot everyday opportunities to teach their children.

The talk will also offer easy-to-implement examples to help them start a conversation with their children.

Key messages:

  • Make children curious. Expose children to as much adult knowledge and current news as possible; make them curious about everything.
  • Use their language. Use examples they can relate to and tell creative stories in a language that resonates with them.
  • Parents need to also stay connected. It means parents have to be curious themselves; they too must constantly learn new things and then share them - even trivia - with their children.
  • Let children form their own opinions. Build future thinkers and leaders. The role of parents is to guide their children's thinking and convey responsibility and consequences

This programme is suitable for parents with children up to 14 years old.
